We have been cat owners for years and years, and have owned both pedigree cats and moggies. Having made a decision to move from just owning cats to breeding them too, since 2009, with encouragement from friends and other breeders, we decided to breed British Shorthair's as I am a big fan of both their looks and personalities.
For the past 2 years now we have been thinking about getting into breeding Abyssinians after doing a lot of research and help from other breeders, especially Chris & Derek of Merrydancer who we have bought our first Blue girl from; which we can’t wait to get to know her.

Living with a BSH
The BSH can make an affectionate and playful pet, they are not however a permanent “lap Cat” they like their own space and will come to you when they want attention. They can be incredibly loving and seem to lack the “must get out” attitude of many breeds and types.
They make suitable house Cats as long as they are given sufficient mental and physical stimulation.

Living with an Abyssinian.
The Abyssinian cat breed has a graceful tail that is as long as the rest of its body.
Abyssinian cat breeders won't dispute that this cat breed is very curious. The Abys want to know everything about what's going on around them. Pet owners must be prepared to be outsmarted by their clever Abys.
